Your strategy, your voice

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) is pleased to announce that it is undertaking an extensive consultation process to inform the Government’s new Diaspora Strategy.

In order to understand the issues of importance to Irish communities overseas, we want to hear from as many members of the diaspora and those who have recently returned to Ireland as possible so our new strategy meets their needs and can also adapt to evolving circumstances.

You can access the relevant consultation tool through the following links:

1. Global Irish Survey for Individuals (Deadline for completion: 31 August 2025)
2. Global Irish Survey for Organisations (Deadline for completion: 31 August 2025)
3. To submit a Global Irish Survey Position Paper, please send it to the email below by 31 August 2025: GIS2025@thediasporainstitute.com

Both the surveys are anonymous. Each survey will take no more than 10 minutes to complete.
