March is Irish Heritage Month, but it is also Women’s Month. During this year, as we celebrate the Semi quincentennial of the United States, let us remember women of Irish Heritage that contributed during the American Revolution.
Madigan Muses:
On this President’s Day, let us remember the twenty-three presidents with Irish heritage. This is an underappreciated and overlooked part of the leadership of our country. From Andrew Jackson to Joe Biden, twenty-three men of Irish heritage have been elected as the President of the United States, guiding our nation through revolution, expansion, wars and other crisis like the events on 9/11.

I would like to invite everyone to hear Andree Murphy, Board Member of Ireland’s Future and Deputy Director of Relatives for Justice on Sunday February 1 at 6 pm at the West Side Irish American Club in Olmsted Township. This event is being held on the Feast of St. Brigid, a Woman of Peace.

The Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians were honored and humbled to receive the St. Katharine Drexel Award from Support Our Aging Religious. To be recognized by an organization that embodies such profound compassion and service was truly a privilege.
