
The National Board is proud to share that two members of the LAOH, Sandi Swift of Missouri and Denise Murphy McGraw of New York will receive the prestigious Belfast Homecoming Ambassadors International Award at the 13th Annual Belfast International Homecoming on October 7th – 9th, 2026.

Sandi Swift has been an active member of the LAOH, serving in leadership roles on the local, State and National Levels and is currently serving as the National President. She looks forward to leading the organization building upon its proud traditions and advancing new goals and initiatives to strengthen for future generations.
Sandi is passionate in promoting her Irish heritage working to educate others on Irish History, culture and current issues. She has participated in Global Irish forums and supported initiatives benefiting women both in Ireland and the United States.
Sandi is married to Matt Morrison of Derry and splits her time between Derry and St. Charles, Missouri. She enjoys spending time with her six children, twelve grandchildren in the States and the extended Morrison family in Ireland.
Denise Murphy McGraw is a member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians JFK Division 1, Schenectady New York. She is a proud promoter of her Irish heritage and culture and serves as an officer in the LAOH Division coordinating the visit of the of Irish Ambassador to the United States Geraldine Byrne Nason for the Division’s 125th Celebration.
Denise served as the Chair of the Board of Trustees and continues to serve on the Board of the Irish American Heritage Museum. In recognition of her service to the Irish community, the Irish Echo named her as one of the Heroes of Irish America.
Denise Muphy McGraw is married to David and the proud mother of Caroline. The McGraw’s live in Niskayuna, New York.
