LAOH National Convention: Celebrating Irish Heritage in Orlando

The LAOH National Convention was held in Orlando, Florida from August 7-11.

National President Marilyn Madigan was honored to have many of her Hibernian Sisters from Ohio in attendance.

Guest Speaker was Sarah Kavanagh, Counsel General of Miami, who highlighted the Irish women who participated in the recent Olympics.

Sarah Kavanagh is the first ever Counsel General of Miami; she started her term in October of 2022. This was the first major Irish event that she participated in; the LAOH was very honored and privileged to have her in attendance.

Mary Ann Lubinsky of Pottsville, PA. succeeded Madigan as the National President.

President Lubinsky appointed Fr. Ryan Duns as her Deputy Chaplain.

Fr. Ryan and Mary Ann were honored to meet Bishop Alphonsus Cullinan of Waterford/Lismore, Ireland at the convention as well.

Marilyn Madigan is the Immediate Past National President and National Organizer of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians and a Deputy Director of the United Irish Societies of Cleveland. She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. John College and retired from Nursing at University Hospitals of Cleveland.
