Let the Irish Have Their Say
Sports, Shorts and the Poetry of Press

The Parade was cold, the after’s were not; a year of drastic change, peace has shot. So many stories highlight this the April issue; hardened and tough, from tears soaking prayerful tissue.

In the Still of the Night, What’s Wise and the Craic? Irish Unity and the Struggle for Liberty Driven to Distract. A new Rose, a New Era; It’s not All Greek to Me; a Causeway of Giants and ancestors 800 year struggle to be free.
Fit as a Fiddle, Irish language we all Speak; Grace, Blowin’ In, Irish Freedom in Deer Creek; Nervous Dervish, IA 250, Safe Home and such Sweet Snaps; these Milestones we share among fogs dissipating Taps.

Coming Next Month begins the 20th Annual Festival Focus issues, and the return of Taking the Fields of Glory in Men’s, Ladies and Youth Gaelic Football, Hurling and Camogie. It all kicks off with a Night at the Races fundraiser at the West Side Irish American Club on April 25th.

With a new 10 week set of Speak Irish Cleveland classes starting April 7th, I have never seen so much impactful activity, growth and age range participating in these Irish staples in and around Cleveland. I hope we will soon find a way to add Handball to the mix too, thereby offering all the precepts of the Gaelic Athletic Association right here in Cleveland.

There is so much more inside and even more that isn’t in print but stars online at iirish.us; new content is added online daily.

iIrish is made in America. We have always been green and are proudly Irish, last month, this month, and every month to come, all year long.
