Did You Know?
Aer Lingus has announced a new nonstop transatlantic route between Dublin and Pittsburgh, launching on May 25, 2026, bringing the total number of direct flights from Ireland to the U.S. to 24.
This marks the first regular direct service linking Pittsburgh International Airport with Dublin Airport, operating four times weekly. The service provides year-round travel between western Pennsylvania and Ireland. As both Dublin and Shannon airports in Ireland offer U.S. preclearance (the only preclearance locations in Europe), the route ensures smooth and convenient travel to the United States.
The new flight reflects growing business, cultural, and tourism ties between the region and Ireland, while strengthening international connectivity for both leisure and corporate travellers.
