This Just In: Cleveland has been awarded $3.95 million in federal funding to install 92 electric vehicle charging ports in City-owned parking lots and public spaces

This project isn’t just about embracing clean energy—it’s about addressing inequities in transportation, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and expanding access to sustainable resources. Nearly half of these chargers will be located in under-resourced communities, ensuring every Cleveland resident has a chance to benefit.

This investment reinforces [Mayor Bibb’s] administration’s commitment to clean energy and sustainability.

Plus, tackling climate change creates good-paying, green jobs right here in Cleveland, allowing our city to lead the way to a greener, more resilient future.
