CURRENT ISSUE:  OCTOBER 2023

Ed Rossman
Auditor

Ed is iIrish’s auditor.  He checks to make sure our 440+ locations have the right quantity of issues each month, makes adjustments as needed for changes and seasons, and makes sure the paper and the iIrish holders are in good shape.

Ed Rossman is iIrish auditor and ensures that iIrish print issues are distributed at coffee shops, libraries, and Irish bars. In total, there are approximately 400 distribution locations and Ed redistributes issues to about 100 locations each month.

Outside of iIrish, Ed is the author of A Guy’s Guide to Throat Cancer: Do’s and Don’ts of Recovery, a book that follows his journey in battling throat cancer through CaringBridge entries he wrote throughout treatment. After he was diagnosed, Ed found there were not many books of that sort relating to throat cancer, so he decided to publish his story. “And I looked back and I was just gonna print everything out as a PDF, but I had known, because I did my own research, prior to going under the knife, that there wasn’t much written about it, especially for laymen, as far as throat cancer goes.”

Ed’s mom was Irish and grew up in the Old Angle area around West 28th Street. As a former librarian, Ed’s always had a passion for helping people learn and he feels like iIrish newsmagazine is just an extension of that. “The magazine is chock full of, as you know, Irish culture and educational things, historical things, language things.”

When asked what the most meaningful thing about being a part of the Irish community was, Ed said it was the camaraderie. He loves the warm and friendly nature of the people at many of the coffee shops, libraries, and bars he distributes the magazines too.

If you have an idea for great locations, send them to us, and Ed will get right on it.
