Madigan Muses: Golfing for a Cause
by Marilyn Madigan
The Ancient Order of Hibernians Boland Berry Division hosted a Golf Outing on Friday August 26, 2022.
AOH Member Ray McGann was the leader behind this very successful event. 106 Hibernians, Retired Irish Police and many friends were very generous with their participation in the wonderful Basket Raffle, 50/50 Raffle and a special Raffle to help the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital at University Medical Center.
The Ancient Order of Hibernians were able to make donations to the Holy Family Cancer Home; help parents whose babies need care at the NICU; and a Cleveland Police Officer injured in the line of duty. Many of the members of the AOH are Retired Police Officers who continue to serve their community by donating to many worthwhile causes.
This Golf Outing demonstrated what the Hibernians are about in sharing their friendship, united in a common cause of Christian Charity. If you are Irish, Catholic and want to help your community, please consider joining the Ancient Order of Hibernians Boland Berry Division.
