Global Cleveland Receives Eisenman Award for Immigration Work

Global Cleveland received the prestigious 2023 Charles Eisenman Award for Exceptional Civic Contributions at the Jewish Federation of Cleveland’s 119th Annual Meeting May 22, 2023 at Park Synagogue in Pepper Pike.

The Jewish Federation of Cleveland’s Charles Eisenman Award recognizes individuals or organizations for exceptional civic contributions and exemplary leadership. A nominating committee selected Global Cleveland to receive the award for their work with immigrants and refugees in Northeast Ohio.

Joe Cimperman, Global Cleveland’s president and CEO, accepted the award on behalf of Global Cleveland.

“We are so honored to have been bestowed this award,” Cimperman said. “The Board and staff of Global Cleveland work hard to welcome and provide for our international community, as well as strengthen our region culturally and economically. To have Global Cleveland’s work recognized by the Jewish Federation of Cleveland is an absolute honor and a point of pride.”

“Our mission to grow the international community and economy of Northeast Ohio cannot be done alone,” Joe Marinucci, Global Cleveland’s Board chairman, said. “We are so grateful for the Jewish Federation of Cleveland’s continued support in strengthening our city by welcoming our world.”
