While many things have slowed as the temperature falls, things in Cleveland and the Reunification of Ireland effort have gone into high gear.

On Tuesday, October 8th, iIrish will host The People’s Assembly for the Reunification of Ireland, with Minister of Parliament Dáire Hughes and The Friends of Sinn Féin, at the West Side Irish American Club in Olmsted Twp, just outside Cleveland. This is a ticket-only event, and no tickets will be available at the door.

History is being made and launched in Cleveland. The U.S. has been central in every phase of the struggle for Irish freedom and independence. From inspiring Wolfe Tone to the signing of the Good Friday Agreement, the United States has been a key dynamic in driving change.

We now have a peaceful and democratic pathway to a new and united Ireland. This is real, this is happening. The opportunity for listening has never been this rich. Join us as we begin a conversation with the diaspora, the descendants of Ireland, and all those who support Irish Unity, with the opportunity to be part of the generation that will deliver it.

U.S. GAA Championships We couldn’t join the U.S. GAA Championships in San Francisco this year, but the Cleveland Saints sent us their love with a grandstand throwback picture reminiscent of our October 2021 cover. We miss them but are grateful to experience it through their photo.

Patrick Fallon We lost a great, active supporter of our culture when the mighty Patrick Fallon passed away on August 31. Pat and Irish Imports were unwavering partners in presenting the Irish community in a positive, energetic, and laughter-filled way—vocally and in person—at festivals all over the U.S. As owners of Fallon Irish Imports and long-term officers of The Shamrock Club in Columbus, they left a lasting impact.

Our thoughts and solace are with Becky, Ean, Aidan, Kay, and family.

iIrish is made in America. We have always been green and are proudly Irish, all year long.
